The concept
Jacotte Tricote offers hand knitted pieces thanks to a band of super grannies.
The idea of connecting knitting grannies with younger grannies with no one to knit for was born in 2016.
The goal? To share and promote the know-how of our grannies.
Since then, Jacotte is :
- a dozen knitting grannies
- one knitting meeting per month
- hundreds of knitted pieces
- ... and above all, many links woven!
We have imagined a collection in the spirit of the times, graphic and pieces made of natural wools that respect the skin of your babies.
The creators
Sara
Full-time webdesigner, I am the geek of the team and the creator of Jacotte Tricote.
This project was born thanks to my grandmother's passion for knitting. The project is now 3 years old and now spending time with our knitting grannies is part of my life and I enjoy every minute of it !
Florence
Full-time mum of a little boy, I met Sara in December 2016. She was dreaming of creating a collection for children for Jacotte Tricote. With my 12 years of experience as a model maker at Bonpoint, collaborating was immediately obvious.
Our knitting grannies
Daniela
A bubbling-with-stamina grandmother, she has already filled all her grandchildren’s cupboards. But she still finds time to indulge her passion and to knit your little orders.
Her favourite saying : « the more I knit, the better I feel «
Michèle
Her mother taught her to knit when she was 10 years old. She started knitting clothes for her doll. Since then, she has stopped counting the stitches that went through her skilled fingers. She loves knitting in the evening in front of the TV and she knits your little orders while watching her favourite movie.
Christiane
She was 13 when she discovered knitting and, since then, no stitch has resisted her.
A highly skilled knitter, she knits anywhere and anytime. Precise and painstaking, she will execute your little orders with the greatest care.
Isabelle
Isabelle started knitting with her grandmother when she was 10 years old, mainly to knit for her dolls.
Later, she knits lots of clothes for her children, now that they are grown up, she knits for your babies!
Her favorite stitches are English ribs and wheat stitch.
Anne-Sophie
Anne-Sophie is part of the third generation of Jacotte's knitters!
She never really got hooked on knitting... But one day she realized that once her grandmother left, nobody would knit in her family anymore and she had to take advantage of her to learn.
Today, mother of 3 children, knitting is for her a moment of relaxation!
Françoise
Françoise used to practice knitting in a little schoolgirl's blouse.
She likes the stitches that give relief and knits with pleasure in front of his favorite soap opera.
Creative, she always likes to invite new models and never loses the thread.
